THE SECRET TO THE PERFECT PANCAKE
Our favourite pancake recipe is swift and painless. And the best part? Add Acadian Maple Syrup and you have a mouthwatering meal that is basically effortless. Sweeten the deal by adding chocolate chips or by garnishing your pancakes with raspberries and cinnamon for an extra kick.
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon white sugar
- 1 1/4 cups milk
- 1 egg
- 3 tablespoons butter, melted
In a large bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Whisk milk, egg and butter in a separate bowl until well blended. Add to dry ingredients; mix until smooth. Heat a lightly oiled skillet or frying pan over medium-high heat. Pour or scoop the batter onto the pan, using approximately ¼ cup for each pancake. Brown on both sides and serve hot.
